This experience, guided by two professional astronomers, invites guests to explore the night sky above the Douro using two telescopes: one for direct observation and the other equipped with a camera to reveal celestial objects in real time. Over the course of approximately 90 minutes, participants are introduced to planets, stars, galaxies and nebulae, with clear explanations and the opportunity to ask questions throughout.

More than simply identifying objects in the sky, the experience offers an accessible introduction to the Universe, guided by astrophysics experts, in a relaxed and engaging setting.

In Castelo de Paiva, just 40 km from Porto, Casa de Algar has been producing Vinho Verde for over 100 years.

Passed down through generations, wine production remains at the heart of the estate, which manages around 10 hectares of vineyards under integrated production. Its core activity is the production and commercialisation of DOC Vinho Verde under the brand Pata da Burra. The grapes used in vinification fully express the potential of each variety, whether in blends or single-varietal wines. The estate focuses mainly on white wines, with key grape varieties including Arinto, Loureiro, Trajadura, Alvarinho and Chardonnay.The portfolio also includes a rosé wine, made from Espadeiro and Touriga Nacional, and a red wine produced primarily from the Vinhão grape. For each wine, grapes are carefully selected and vinified in-house, ensuring distinctive organoleptic characteristics that define and personalise the Pata da Burra range.
