Sustainability

Our commitment

Sustainability is not what we do, but who we are.

Our commitment to developing our activity based on practices that minimise its impact has led us to adopt a sustainable approach across three areas: environmental, social, and economic sustainability.

Sustainability Pratices

A responsible purchasing policy that favours local businesses, including the following suppliers:
Talho da Vila, Verde Água (asparagus), Daniel Gomes (mushrooms), Douropão, Pão de Ló Vale de São Domingos, Leafs Labyrinth (organic raspberries), among others.

Seasonal products are used across our restaurants, with menus evolving throughout the year in line with available ingredients.

We support the local community through donations made throughout the year to organisations such as the Fire Department, the Real Social Centre, Instituto Uma Vida Um Sorriso (One Life One Smile Institute), Castelo de Paiva Church, and Crescer a Cores Association, among others.

Sustainable Procurement Policy:
We do not employ child labour, there is no gender discrimination in hiring, and approximately 50% of our employees are local residents.

Towel and linen exchange program
Our rooms feature a programme that promotes reduced towel and linen changes, helping to lower water and electricity consumption.

Circular Recycling Program for Minibar Tubes
All minibar containers are made of recyclable glass and are returned to the supplier after each use for recycling.
